The Good Shepherd!

Like the good parent, the good shepherd always care about his sheep and their well-being. He feeds them and quench their thirst.
Meanwhile, the good shepherd never spares the rod on the stubbon sheep. Not because he dislikes it, but because of his love for the sheep.

In the same vein, God will not allow you to go wayward. He is the good shepherd, and will do all that should be done in his power to ensure that your life is secured and fruitful through his tending.

 Sometimes, the situations we go through in life are for the security and beauty of our future and not to harm us as we do take it.

God makes us to lie down peacefully without any thoughts of worry (lying in green pastures), and even leads us in our uncertainties (leading us beside the still waters). This is all because he is the good shepherd and he cares about his sheep.

Because of God's love for us, he prompts us when we are going the wrong way in our decisions and corrects us with his rod and staff where necessary.

Isn't this shepherd too good to have? Why then are you allowing other creatures (fellow humans, money, etc) to be shepherding you while the creator is humbly waiting to lead you?

Avail yourself my dear to the Good Shepherd's leading. That you shall know no want. For you will be trained to know both how to abase and abound, and will be at peace and at rest for God (the great provider) is  with you. Be a humble sheep now and enjoy great love.
