Submit To Those In Authority!

We all can not be leaders and subordinates at the same time. Neither can two people with the same amount of power cooperate more effectively. There is always a need for authority.

Leaders have been positioned within our various human institutions to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience, in order to enhance the efficient and effective administration of the institutions. Hence, we all are obliged to submit to those in authority.

No matter the kind of person in leadership position, you as a subordinate ought to submit to his/her authority. Why? Because the leader, so far as he/she stays in the position, is responsible for your well being and the institution as a whole. Therefore, you need to submit to their authority.

No one person stays in a position forever. Today, is the tenure of the leader you see in the position now, but tomorrow may be your tenure. Who knows! This is the more reason why you need to show some sort of respect and honour to your incumbent leadership.

Leaders usually play both physical and spiritual roles for all their subordinates (especially, spiritual leaders). While you sleep and relax in your comfort, they stay awake and think about how best to sustain your well being and the institution at large.

Leaders already have a lot to deal with, because their accountability is very high and sensitive. As a matter of fact, the stress they go through is too much and can't afford to stand any addition. So do not add up to their stress. Rather, be loyal and submit to their authority to help maintain sanity in governance. Honour your leaders, so that others will also honour you, not forgetting that we are all leaders in our own kind.
