Know What You Need!

Know What You Need!

Many misconstrue need with want, and this always misguide their desires in life. What you need can not be the same as what you want. Do you know why? Because you can not live without your needs, but you can do everything without your wants. For wants are just craving desires, which are mostly insatiable.

What do you need my dear? Think about this carefully!
For you can never live a self-actualized life without knowing what you need at every stage of your life.

I am convinced and can assure you that, it is our inabilities to know what we need in life that has and is causing us to struggle every now and then. Why because, it is the knowledge of what we need that guides us to make good and worthy decisions in life.

Though all things are permissible to us (wants), not all are beneficial to our growth (needs) 1 Corinthians 10:23. Thus, you have the liberty to desire (want), but you need to introspect carefully whether what you desire will sincerely satisfy your need.

Dear friend, you can never know what you need without knowing God. For what you need is in God (John 1:1-4; Matthew 11:28-30) and it is God who knows the hidden desires of your heart (Jeremiah 17:10). He formed you in his own image (Genesis 1:26-27), and thus knows the desires of your heart. Hence, you need to fear him.

Fear and give reverence to God if you really want to know and satisfy your needs. For it is with the fear of God that you will gain wisdom to direct your desires in life into fruition.

Friend, do not be deceived by the uncontrollable wind of lust of the flesh that blows vehemently over the earth. For though you are in the world, you are not of it (John 17:16-26). Be conscious of this, that you have a mission on earth, and that must be fulfilled.

I hope you remember the great commission given to us, that we go and make disciples of Christ Jesus? This is our need, which must be fulfilled. Everything we do on earth without accomplishing this great need, will make our lives incomplete before God.

Therefore my dear, use all you've got to win a soul to Christ, so that your need may be satisfied, and that you will enjoy the benefit therein.
Stay Blessed!
