Scan Through Them!
There are so many things around us, but not all of them are meant for our consumption (1 Corinthians 10:23). Though you are surrounded by many people, you need to be wise and diligently scan through them to secure your sustenance. For some are wolves in sheep clothing (Matthew 7:15).
It is good to be surrounded by people, and engage in many things. However, without wisdom and care, your expectations may be cut short.
Be open and friendly, but be ware of the company you keep. For bad company corrupts good morals ( 1 Corinthians 15:33).
It doesn't matter how good you may be, the slightest negligence may disintegrate your soundness in life where wisdom is not applied. Therefore, take the time and scan through everything around you.
Scan through them my dear, for you can not tell by their appearance which will be in your favour, until you critically observe and examine them.
Everything has its pros and cons, and so are humans too. Hence, you need to scan through them to weigh the pros against the cons,so that you may know what to allow and what not to allow at every stage in your life.
Brethren, the only true way to scan through your environment thoroughly is through the Word of God. It is the only truth that sanctifies and reveals the true nature of our being (John 17:17). It never fails!
Meanwhile, for you to be able to use the scanner (the Word of God) properly, you need to be friendly with it. Thus, you must have a good fellowship with the Word of God yourself. How close are you to the Word? Is it evident in your life? If not, then you better renew your mind and seek after it. For it is God's gift to you without price (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Isaiah 55:1).
Do not just allow anything at all to drive your life. Neither should you be influenced by the words or actions of others. Rather, let the word of God and the Spirit of God lead you. For it is with their leading that you will be successful genuinely, withstanding every obstacle that may come your way.
Stay Blessed!
