How Relevant Are You!

Nothing is of no importance on earth, even that which is considered waste has its value when its time of recognition is due. For God after creating all things, looked at them and said "it is good" (Genesis 1:31). Thus, everything including you, is important and valuable to God (Matthew 10:29-31).

Meanwhile, it is always better to know your relevance and how that impact your world. So I ask, how relevant are you? Is your relevance well noted and recognized as it should? What is the evidence of your relevance to the world around you? Think through these carefully.

God in his wisdom has created us in his own image and has blessed us with so many gifts to enhance our relevance on earth. How have you utilized your gift till date? Are you making impact with the gift (talent) or you are just wasting its value.

My dear, don't be a fool! What is the essence of your gift without its relevance. Have you forgotten the parable of the talents in the bible ( Matthew 25:14-30)? Oh yes, it will shock you that what you even have will be taken from you, if you do not make it relevant.

Know that, though you have the gift, it is not for you but for the glory of God to be revealed through it. How? By making it relevant to others (Matthew 5:16). This is because, no matter how talented you are, if your talent is not relevant, there is no way it will be valuable.

In spite of all these, for you to be relevant, you need to be humble and inculcate a teachable spirit in all you do. For without humility coupled with submissiveness to instructions (directions), you may disgrace yourself where not needed. Hence pay attention to good counsel (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

My dear, you can't afford to leave your generation without a legacy. There must be an imprint of your existence, and this can only be achieve through your relevance in life (which should be a good one of course).

Remember, the branch that bears no fruits will surely be cut off by the vine dresser ( John 15:1-8). Therefore, make yourself valuable by being relevant no matter where you find yourself. It really pays.
