How Neat is Your Body!

How Neat is Your Body!

Do you know, that your body is the temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)? Why are you handling it anyhow? How neat is it in the sight of God? If mortal men have reservations about how you care for your body, how much more God?

As humans, God has giving us a spirit, soul and body. And he chooses to deal with us in different levels in view of our make-up. Therefore, how neat is your body?

What are you doing with the life (body) God has given you? Do you waste it on lust, drunkenness, gossip, lies and all the other youthful desires? oh no, you've got to keep it neat for the owner (Psalm 100:3).

For God has not given you that precious body for nothing, but for a divine purpose. That he may dwell in it and work through you to touch many lives (Ephesians 2:10). Why are you selling this precious gift to one who has no value for it (the devil)?

Come on, cherish your body, for it is very valuable to your maker. He needs to work with you in full, and not in pieces. So you can not, and must not divide your attention. Just be focused and make a decision.

Decide where you stand, whether for God or the world (1 John 2:15-16; Mark 9:40; Revelation 3:15-16). You can not be for God and gratify the desires of the flesh with your body, you need to sacrifice it unto God as a reasonable service (Romans 12:1-2).

It is true we are humans, with desires that arouse us to act in certain ways that seem more favourable to the world than to God. You have yours and I have mine. And because of this, God has given us the Holy Spirit as our comforter and teacher (John 14:16-26) to dwell in us (our bodies). Knowing very well that, godliness with contentment is great gain.

Therefore, if the Spirit is that holy and is supposed to dwell in you, then the question again is, how neat is your body to welcome the Holy Spirit? Think about this carefully and revert your response to God.
Stay Blessed!

Shalom!!!
